Tell the Difference Between East And West After Visiting the USA Taste the Education in Microscopic View

The cadres of Yuanhengjia Education Group to visit America were invited to our school to make touring speeches.

Since the branch of the distance education group in the USA was set up, group cadres and students continue to the United States in batches of study abroad for a period, summer camp, scouts, school field trips, international travel and other exchange activities.

They traveled around famous beautiful cities in the USA, visited several middle schools and high schools. Summer campus are included. More fortunately, the kids can take part in daily life with their home stay. What’ more, the teachers and students also participated in outdoor activities, visited the mountains scenic spots to understand the local customs and introduced the great Chinese culture to local people. Not only to enhance the understanding of other countries, but also broaden their horizons, enrich the experience, learning to understand the similarities and differences between American education and Chinese education, it is a rare experience of travel for everyone, but also a valuable journey of learning.

In March 2017, the group who has been to the United States came to our school three times and gave speeches for all the teachers in order to share their experience and harvest. The speeches included three aspects, such as the school construction, moral construction and teaching method etc. The activity provided a valuable opportunity to learn for school cadres and teachers.

The first speech was from the director, Cheng Linna, the group center office. In the report, with the entitle the Sunshine of Love Education, She shared her feelings about the journey to visit the United States Yuanhengjia branch of Lancaster school, Pepperdine University, California NBA games, State University, University of California at Los Angeles, North bridge sunrise Christian School and so on. In Director Cheng’s report, two details made a deep impression on us: one is particularly impressive in the sunrise Christian School visit. One morning, she offered to help an American child tie his shoes occasionally. It was really common in Miss Cheng’s eyes, but in the afternoon, the child’s grandmother found Miss Cheng and showed great thanks to her. Director Cheng as a Chinese, especially a member of our group, has good manners and a warm heart. She showed high quality of Chinese to foreign friends. Second details the time when in the United States Yuanhengjia branch kindergarten, they were excited to see our national flag. Our director Cheng said, when I saw the Chinese flag hanging in American classrooms and in the school yard in the US, I felt so proud as a Chinese.

Next report was from Wang Kaili the minister of propaganda. He brought us to the speech entitled "the Beauty in My Eyes, the Love in My Heart". Minister Wang was energetic and full of passion. He introduced a lot to the participating cadres and teachers. The listeners began to learn more about traffic order in the United States, quiet neighborhood, good environmental awareness, as well as the difference between Chinese and Western culture shown in the activities. His speech was just like a long poem and a beautiful painting, which gave the listeners a lot.

The principal Chen Zhifeng from Gongming school of Yuanhengjia also brought us a wonderful experience to share. His harvest was sum up as “Act in order be Effective to Win; Develop Ability First”. He mentioned that the development of the ability was the core of basic education in the United States. It is worthy for us to think it over. Gongming Chinese Vice President Zhou Wenxia said, in her speech, their classroom was individuality and autonomy; their activity was meaningful; the learning process contained reading all the time; the evaluation of students in American schools were diverse and so on. All of these were worthy of our comparative thinking, and took in useful nutrients to promote our education reform.

Our vice president Kim Yushan analysed the characteristics of different subjects including the language, mathematics, science, biology, arts and other disciplines of the subject. She had her own opinion about teaching method. Pros and cons are at the same time. Our deputy director, Zhang Dan thought American classroom environment was decorated orderly and pragmatical; they paid more attention to guide the moral education and other aspects of the construction of school moral education experience; she gave plenty of examples, simple but practical. Her report opened the door to the western school moral education.

During the process of activities, our school principal Bu Xianglin, a special-grade teacher, had layout for teachers. That is to think about how to take good fusion to teaching and improve the quality of teaching. At present, the research activities of various disciplines have been completed, received nearly fifty thousand words in the study of nearly fifteen groups of academic feedback. In the later stage, it will play a more important role in promoting the teaching of all subjects.

The group of leading cadres in the United States tour ended, but the different educational insights in our western is profound, which is consistent with the training goal of the school "Cultivating Excellent Citizen" with national feelings and international vision of the students' requirements. Yuanhengjia education group has established her branch in the United States, opened the kindergarten, and set up training centers. And the cooperation has been made up of 195 schools. This kind of activities will be more and more. It will further promote the school "Small class, Personalized, International" education development, for our school to the connotation, differentiation, high-quality development of the road to the higher school to provide more contrast and reference. The teachers and students of our school will also take the first step in the process of internationalization.
